George Fry
Director, Technology Alignment

George Fry has been involved in the mobile communications industry for more than 18 years, with experiences that include both networks and mobile devices. These experiences span all phases of technology creation, including research, standardization, product development, and marketing and business development. He currently serves as Director of Technology Alignment for Nokia North America, with responsibility for coordinating customer requirements with Nokia’s R&D efforts in wireless and converged products and services.

Mr. Fry joined Nokia in 1997, and since that time has held positions as Research Manager in Nokia Research Center, Director of Application & Services Standards, and Director of IP Convergence Business Development for North America. Prior to joining Nokia, Mr. Fry held positions at Lucent Technologies, AT&T Bell Laboratories, and General Dynamics.

Mr. Fry is inventor or co-inventor of 3 patents pertaining to wireless communications, and is listed as author or co-author of published articles in the Bell Labs Technical Journal and IEEE conference papers.

Mr. Fry holds a MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, a MS in Computer Science from the University of New Haven, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University. He makes his home with his wife and two daughters in Coppell, Texas.
